Gail R. Johnson, DPM, DABPS
- Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State University in 1978 where she was involved in the teaching and administration of various programs for handicapped children for the next 5 years.
- Moved to California in 1982 where she studied at the University of California at Santa Barbara in parasitology and tropical medicine.
- Graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, California in 1990 and then went on to complete her Podiatric Surgical Residency at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center in Fountain Valley, California.
- Moved to San Luis Obispo, California in 1992 where she was in private practice for 10 years. With a strong family history of diabetes, a special emphasis of her practice has centered on diabetic foot care and wound care of the lower extremity.
- Active member of the local medical community, including serving as Chief of Staff at Arroyo Grande Community Hospital in Arroyo Grande, California.
- Active member of the local, state and national podiatric medical associations.
- Moved to Fayetteville in September 2002 to start a new private practice along with her husband, Dr. Dan Fulmer.
- Recreational runner (finisher in five marathons), triathlete, backpacker, and an avid bicyclist.
- Attend multiple lectures and seminars yearly on advanced surgical and wound care techniques.
